In July 2019, education became mandatory in France for all children who are aged 3 years and older. This inspired us to build a “Bilingual Nursery Programme” that addresses all aspects of this transition towards compulsory education.
Children aged between 2 and 3 years old are great explorers of the world around them. The Bilingual Nursery Programme offers them a wide range of common daycare activities to develop their sensory and motor skills. At the same time, it takes them a step towards an academic and formalized curriculum that will arouse their interest and enthusiasm.
Each child, at his or her pace, broadens their scope to explore, enriches their social skills and improves their use of language. When secured with skilled, reassuring and individualized support, children can confidently, and keenly, enter preschool age.
The French/ English Bilingual Nursery Programme is also a unique opportunity for children growing up in an increasingly globalized world as it integrates, at a young age, the French and Anglo-Saxon intonations, languages, and cultures.
This programme ensures that children with an international background continue to maintain both languages and find their bearing thanks to a familiar language setting. Our goal is to allow children to simultaneously develop their ability to think, communicate, and play in two languages with ease and support.
It is the mission of our educative team of skilled, experienced and trained professionals, all of who come with experience of teaching in preschools or daycares, to build a global, emotionally-secure environment, in which children are able to live their first social experiences.
The premises at Les Petits Crayons - Bilingual Preschool have also been tailored to the sensory and motor needs of younger children, providing them with the best kind of care and rest areas a daycare offers.
